August Quick Trip
4 nights; 3 park hopping days
Wednesday: After a fun morning of racing to the pediatricians and getting a steroid script filled we headed to PVD for our 10:50 flight. Arrived around 1:45 to MCO from PVD. Took an Uber black with car seat (~$100). Grabbed coffees at Starbucks waiting for car. Arrived at POR FQ around 2:15. In room by 245, changed and headed to the pool in matching swimsuits. Walked over to Port Orleans riverside and had something for lunch/dinner. Caught the boat to Disney Springs. Grabbed a drink outside boathouse. Back to resort for an early to bed
Thursday: DAK by 7:30, got in line for safari, about the 5th truck. Finished the safari and went onto the gorilla falls trail by 8:45. Grabbed a Mickey pretzel and rode triceratops spin.Moana line was a good 40 minutes. Watched drummers in Africa, had a snack and walked through pandora. Went to Nomad lounge for rope drop (10:30), Chris likes the Manchurian chicken bowl. Left the park by 11:30, headed to resort to swim. Swam for 1.5 hours. Then changed and headed to EPCOT. Found Pooh, rode Nemo, living with the land, 3-cabelleros and met Elsa. Did a couple of booths: Greece (gyro) Flavors from Fire (corned beef chips and the taco) Germany (prickly pear hef)
Friday: magic kingdom by 730, grabbed Starbucks on Main Street. Early check in and walked to Pooh. Did Pooh, little mermaid, dumbo x2, carousel, small world by 9. Went over to Buzz light year and people mover, and flying carpets by 11. Lunch at Crystal Palace, got both lunch and breakfast. Characters were amazing, 3 visits from most of them. Caught the festival of fantasy parade at noon on Main Street near the hub grass. Left around 12:30 and went back to the resort. Changed and headed to HS. Started at the Disney Jr dance party. Left and got right in line to meet Doc. Super interaction. Olivia had a boo boo and Doc gave her a check up and a bandaid. walked through Toy Story and Galaxy’s Edge, too hot. Went and met Olaf. Caught the 3:30 Beauty and the beast show. It was packed! Took the sky liner at 4:45, tapped into EPCOT and walked World Showcase again. Grabbed another beer from Germany. Headed back to the room to refresh and change. Went to Scat Club Lounge and had an app and a couple drinks. Liv went to sleep in the stroller and we had a nice little date night!
Saturday: our one and only Genie+ day. We started with breakfast at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, we took a Minnie van from POFQ. The servings were huge, but we had a 7:30 reservation and didn’t have food until 8. We decided to walk over to TTC from Poly, nice walk, mostly shaded. Jumped on the monorail and were at EPCOT for 9 am. Missed extra magic but figured we had G+ so no need to rush. A 9:15 Frozen ride. Met Donald outside the Mexican pavillion at 930 right when he started. Went over and did Nemo again and tried Turtle Talk with Crush. Liv was bored and we bailed 5 min in. Left the aquarium and went to see Pooh again. Olivia was tired and ended up taking a 2+ hour nap. We booked guardians using ILL with a 12:45-1:45 return. We both rode and after Liv woke up we park hopped on the monorail to MK. We did the carousel and Pooh again. After some splash pad time near Dumbo, Liv changed and we headed out. We got back to the room around 4, and I got us a 6 PM res for Raglan Road at 6. We took the boat to DS and got to the restaurant at 6. Waited a few minutes and then got seated. Ate and left. The boat line was huge so we ordered a Minnie van to bring us back. Finished packing and got to bed around 8:30
Sunday: picked up at 4:45, and to MCO by 5:15, security was a nightmare and a long line. We waiting 45 minutes to get through. Got to our gate around 6:05 and boarded at 6:50. Home by 10 am 😞
